Solomon Islands Snorkelling Adventure

Duration: Next trip - 10 nights, from June 29, 2026
Starting from EUR USD 6,345 per person

Tour Overview

Located in the South Pacific (north-east of Australia and to the east of Papua New Guinea), the Solomon Islands are a chain of nearly 1,000 tropical islands. Known for their beauty; they are blessed with lush rainforests, volcanic peaks, dense jungle as well as waterfalls, rivers, and hidden valleys containing incredible wildlife.

But while the land is incredible, it is what lives in the water that separates the Solomons from many other parts of the world. This is, after all, part of the famed ‘Coral Triangle’ – the global centre of marine biodiversity.

Here, you’ll find some of the world’s healthiest coral reefs, vibrant tropical fish, graceful turtles, playful dolphins, majestic rays, and reef sharks gliding through the blue. On this snorkelling adventure you have the chance to see all of these – and more.

Whether on land or in the water, the Solomons truly are a tropical paradise and they are just waiting to be explored.

Additional Information

Your 10-night trip takes in some of the Solomon Islands’ finest snorkelling sites, combining incredible marine life encounters with unique cultural experiences.

You’ll explore the Russell Islands, Mary Island, and the Florida Islands, with multiple opportunities to get in the water and discover the wonders beneath the surface.

For example, at Karumolun Point all fishing has been banned by the local chief creating a marine-protected area with visitors such as jacks, barracudas, sharks and eagle rays. This is just the beginning. At Mary Island, you might be joined by reef sharks, turtles, and bumphead parrotfish as you swim over thriving hard coral gardens. Then there’s Devil’s Highway, famed as the best place in the Solomons to swim with manta rays as they glide by in formation, feeding in the nutrient-rich currents. This is somewhere, if the current is running, you can get a truly adrenalin-filled snorkel experience.

And the adventure doesn’t end in the water. You may also explore serene mangroves by kayak and drift peacefully on stand-up paddleboards, soaking up the tranquil surroundings. A highlight of the trip is meeting the floating market, when local villagers paddle out to visit the boat, offering the chance to purchase fresh produce straight from their small boats - everything either freshly grown or freshly caught.

On land, we’ll visit remote villages, where you’ll receive a warm welcome often accompanied by traditional singing and dancing. You’ll soak up the culture and explore historical sites such as the wreck of MS World Discoverer as well as taking guided walks through lush rainforests alive with sights, sounds, and scents.

This isn’t just a snorkelling trip - it’s a journey across land and sea that opens your eyes to an extraordinary part of the world.
