Swim the Red Sea

Let one of our beautiful liveaboard safari boats become your home for a week while you explore Egypt's incredible coastline. Enjoy the fantastic food, hospitality and service that comes with any Emperor trip and relax as our amazing crew look after you.

From our boat you will have immediate access to the beauty beneath the waves in the famous Red Sea. Our carefully planned swims will take you to places and sights you will remember forever and give you an angle rarely seen by others exploring this part of the world.

Our teams have been diving these waters for over 30 years and there is very little they don’t know about what is happening both above and below sea level. Let them share their knowledge while you release yourself to the amazing feeling of sea swimming.

This is a sample itinerary and is meant to give an indication of the experiences on offer. Trips will be tailored according to conditions, marine sightings and any other factors that might occur.

Day 1
Transfer to Hurghada or El Quseir port where your boat will be waiting for you. Once everyone has settled in, we will assemble in the ship’s lounge for the safety briefing.

Day 2
In the early hours, the ship’s anchor will lift and we cruise towards Safaga while we have breakfast. We start with an easy swim within a large reef then, while you kick back and enjoy lunch, the boat will venture further north towards a group of islets where we will complete a circumnavigation of Jazirat Umm Ajawish al Kubra Island (approx. 1km – 1.5km).

Day 3
At ‘Paradise Island’ we will swim along the east coastline (approx. 2km) finishing at Mahmya Bay. Over lunch, the boat will again cruise north, this time towards Jazirat Shakir, where there will be the opportunity to complete a longer coastal swim (up to 4km) for those who wish.

Day 4
A morning swim around the beautiful Siyul Saghira reef before heading to Jazirat Jubal for our second swim.

Day 5
The amazing Ras Mohamed! This national park is among the most famous diving sites in the world. Our first swim of the day will be around 2-3km, and after lunch there will be an opportunity for a relaxed snorkel.

Day 6
The boat goes north again towards Tiran Island, home of one of the most-famous Red Sea reef sites. We will swim along Jackson Reef (1-2km) which is named locally ‘The Aquarium’. In the afternoon, the boat will venture back towards Jazirat Jubal for a circumnavigation of this island (optional 5km).

Day 7
A visit to the famous horseshoe-shaped reef of Shaab El Erg; a beautiful, hard coral garden. Here there could be the chance to see and swim with dolphins. We will base ourselves here for the day with the opportunity to complete a longer swim in the morning and a snorkel/explore in the afternoon before returning to the boat to enjoy your final dinner and night onboard.

Day 8
One final breakfast on board before a short boat ride back to port, a final goodbye to the crew and then your transfer back to the airport.

This trip costs €2,630 per night for charter.
