Egypt Biking: Bent Tree Bike Trail

Duration: ~3 hours
Starting from EUR 49

Tour Overview

Gear up for an exhilarating mountain bike ride that will both challenge and reward you.

We’ll go deep into the desert with this trip, starting from our base at Wadi Sabarah. After a quick check of your bike and gear, we head west into the mountains where we cross highways and navigate gravelly trails.

From there you get to enjoy the challenge of uphill terrain. After some steady climbs where trees begin to dot the landscape, the ride culminates at a stunning, bent acacia tree. It offers the perfect spot to rest, recharge, and sip tea in its shade.

Then for the reward. The return journey is the prize for your efforts with a pleasant descent offering beautiful scenic views as we head back to the lodge.

FAQ

Is there a minimum/maximum number of people needed for the trip to take place?
There is no minimum number of participants but there is a 50% supplement if only one person is on the trip

Should I leave a minimum amount of time between diving and biking?
So long as you are not overtired the answer to this is, no. We have consulted with DAN - the Divers Alert Network – who are at the forefront of dive medicine. Their advice is to wait 24 hours after a dive before going above 2,000ft/600m. There are no restrictions below this height which means our trips should cause no problems as the maximum climb is 1,300ft/400m.

Do I need a certain level of fitness to take part?
There are some challenging climbs involved in this trip and it is recommended anyone taking part should have a decent level of fitness.

Will I be accompanied by a guide at all times?
Yes. Each tour is led by a group leader who will escort you through the entirety of the trip.
